Journal Goals, Live Goals
We are coming up on the first of 2018. I posted this same content on my blog last year and, here we are again. As usual, you probably are beginning to gather up in your mind the goals for the upcoming year and beyond. In the book, Write It Down, Make It Happen, Henriette Anne Klauser, writes that “life is a decision”. With 60 plus years under my belt, I can say it is true. The focus of this blog, Journal Goals, Live Goals, will give you some tools to begin.
I would like to recommend that you begin journaling now to bring clarity to your 2018 goals. Taking the time to really dwell on your goals will deepen the impact of the result. Just because we write something down, doesn’t mean it is going to happen. Yes, it does get the subconscious moving and synchronicities will start to happen, but along the way, we may have blocks and jam ups. Planning for those blocks ahead of time will make the goal more attainable.
Let’s start with one 2018 journal goal.
Here are some questions to bring clarity to that goal.
What will the result be if you accomplish this goal?
Is it realistic? Is it sustainable? (no, I’m not thinking of weight loss)
Do you have any fears around achieving this goal?
Do you have any fears about not achieving this goal?
Are you challenging yourself enough?
Is the goal something you can measure?
What could be some roadblocks to success?
Can you eliminate some of those roadblocks now or have a plan to open those blocks when they happen?
How will you know if you achieved your goal?
What other things in your life could improve if you achieve this goal?
